05 · The method

The morning, hour by hour.

  1. The string leaves the cobbled yard through the archway, by lantern light.

    05:42

The string leaves before the town wakes.

  2. A hand holds a stopwatch against the rail as two horses gallop past.

    06:15

    Every gallop is timed.

  3. Close-up on the legs of a galloping horse, sand flying against the light.

    07:00

But we train the horse, not the stopwatch.

  4. A lad hoses down a horse's legs in the yard, steam rising from its back.

    08:00

Care takes longer than the gallop.

  5. A horse lying in the straw of its box, in a shaft of sunlight.

    11:00

    Rest is work.

06 · The visit

Send us
your horse.

Come one morning. We'll show you the gallops, the boxes, and the work.

Chantilly, --:--

The stable's trainer, tweed cap, binoculars around his neck, stopwatch in hand.

Demonstration form: nothing is sent.
